Architecture and design is
a practice specialising in adding new to old. Extensive experience has
been gained in negotiating with conservation and design officers from
various local authorities and other statutory consultees such as English
Heritage,
to produce quality environments in a contemporary 'arts and craft' idiom.
The philosophy for each project is developed in response to the unique physical,
cultural and economic constraints of the site.
The practice has particular experience in the housing and community sectors
and in the restoration of historic buildings.
